Trustix Secure Linux 2.0 Technology Preview 2 Released

Trustix team announced that Trustix Secure Linux 2.0 Techology Preview 2 (aka Forecast) is available for download. As this is a technology preview, it is not intended for usage on production servers, but rather for testing it and sending your feedback to Trustix. Improved package selection and rewritten init scripts are some of the new changes since the Technology Preview 1 (aka Rainstorm) release.

This release includes: Apache 2, Bind 9.2.1, Courier IMAP daemon, Cyrus IMAP daemon, DB1 and DB4, ISC DHCP daemon 3, Fcron, FreeSWAN 1.99 with x509 certificate support, GCC 3.2.1, Glibc 2.2.5, GnuPG 1.0.7, Hdparm 5.2 , Kernel 2.4.20 which gives us at the very least, PHP 4.3, MySQL 3.53, Netcat, Netatalk 1.6, NTP 4.1, OpenLDAP 2.1, OpenSSH 3.5, OpenSSL 0.9.7, Perl 5.6.1, Postfix 2.0, PostgreSQL-7.2, PPTP, ProFTPd 1.2.6, Python 2.2.1, RPM 4.0.4, RP-PPPoE 3.5, Rsync 2.5.5, Samba 2.2.7, Squid 2.5, Stunnel 4.04, Swup/Rdfgen and Xinetd
