The results of tests carried out by the Dutch publication Computable claim Panda BusinesSecure, the Panda Software solution for businesses, the best anti-malware solution. Computable is part of the VNU group, which releases 140 publications worldwide and is one of the leading Information Technology media. This publication selected seven known anti-malware solutions currently available on the market, one of which was Panda BusinesSecure, and commissioned TestLab -the most important security laboratory in Benelux- to carry out a test which involved downloading an apparently harmless MP3 file from a website. However, when this file was downloaded, it tried to drop 15 different families of malware on the computer. In total, the application downloaded up to 452 files, inserted 430 entries in the Windows Registry and created two memory partitions. An interesting fact about this application is that it actually exists, as the authors of the comparative review came across it in the Internet.
As published by Computable, TestLab found that Panda BusinesSecure performed the best, being the solution that detected and eliminated the largest amount and widest variety of malware.
Furthermore, the publication also praises the ease of use of the Panda Software solution and its excellent features. It also obtained the highest score in privacy control and antispam protection. Other features highlighted by Computable include centralized administration of Panda Software’s anti-malware solution through the management tool, Panda AdminSecure. What’s more, it positively evaluated the automatic updates against new malware and the email reports and warnings. With all of this in mind, the authors of the article claim Panda BusinesSecure the simplest product to use that they have ever seen.
Panda BusinesSecure includes TruPreventTM Technologies, which proactively detect unknown threats. Unlike traditional antivirus products that need to be able to identify malware in order to detect and eliminate it, TruPreventTM can detect malware by analyzing its behavior, without needing its signature.
